All Black Swamp Driving Club News is
published in "The Equine Journal"

The Black Swamp Driving Club was organized in May, 1988,
with the first meeting held at Findlay University. Twenty-six people attended. Now there
are over fifty families in the club, and it is still growing.
- Henry and Becky zumFelde of Wauseon, Ohio, were the
people instrumental in organizing the Black Swamp Driving Club. Henry Served as president
of the club for the first four years and now he and his wife, Becky are honorary,
life-time members.
- Most of the members are from northwestern Ohio, and there
are also a few from Indiana and Michigan.
- The club sponsors events such as family get-togethers,
driving clinics, scenic country drives and winter sleigh rides. The club's purpose is to
introduce people to many different kinds of horses and horse drawn vehicles. It is a fun
club with family in mind; something they can do together and learn new things. You meet a
lot of friendly people and enjoy a wonderful sport. events12.htm
- Black Swamp Driving Club is an organization dedicated to
promoting opportunities to enjoy driving and collecting horse drawn vehicles. It also
encourages the preservation and maintenance of carriages and other horse, pony, or mule
driven vehicles.
- Black Swamp Driving Club membership includes: liability
insurance for club events, an opportunity to meet people who share an interest in the
sport of driving, collecting, or restoring vehicles, and linkage with National and
International events such as the Carriage Association of America and the American Driving
Society.
Black Swamp Driving Club is dedicated to the
promotion of safety, education and fellowship.
